I am currently a provider for BCBS PPO, HMO and POS Open Access plans. Clients are responsible for contacting BCBS regarding their benefit information.
Please inquire about your insurance coverage prior to the first session.
Most PPO plans have a deductible amount that must be met before your benefits begin to take effect. These start over as of the first of the year. If you have a deductible I will collect the allowed amount insurance reimburses ($98 for PPO plans and $86 for POS/HMO) and file the claim towards meeting your deductible. If you do not have a deductible or it’s been met, you will pay a co-pay at our session. That amount varies depending on your plan’s policy. Please call BCBS to find out your co-pay amount. The information on the card is often not clear.
Please bring your card to the appointment with you. *If you do not have your card or have not contacted BCBS about your coverage, the fee will be $140.* Once you obtain your insurance coverage information, I can begin filing for our sessions.
If I am not a provider with your insurance carrier, please call them to inquire about your out-of-network benefits. Using your out-of-network benefits means you will pay me full fee and then be reimbursed for a portion of that fee depending on your coverage. I will provide a form with all the necessary information your insurance company will need to apply the reimbursement amount directly to you. Or you can try Better App (click here) which is a fast and easy way to file for out-of-network sessions. Out-of-network benefits vary. Please contact Member Services to find out what your specific plan covers.
Tele Mental Health
I offer this as alternative to meeting in the office when an established client is not able to meet in person.
I use Zoom and Skype for Tele Mental Health sessions. *Please note* Currently Zoom is HIPPA compliant, while Skype is NOT.
If you are a client out of the state of Georgia, I cannot file insurance for Tele Mental Health sessions. All sessions will be $140.
